Getting it ASAP might be a good idea. Steamdeck will get a price hike in asia. While it's still the same in the US, it could increase too given the RAM situation...

I went to try and get one from the Steam store last night and every one is now sold out. I could go the Walmart route cause they sell them on there but for inflated prices.

Owning a Nintendo Switch 2 devkit without authorization or a license from Nintendo is considered illegal, as these units remain the property of Nintendo according to Nintendo. Yes you can use a Switch emulator to run a homebrew code, .nro files. You need to compile your c++ codes with tools like devkitPro into nintendo rom file.
