How long before they look the same?

I know each artiest writing style is different, but there is so much manga and anime out that character designs are bound to start looking like another character design from a another series.

How long do you believe that anime/manga characters will start looking like others?

I agree, a lot of them look alike. 3 examples are: One Piece, Rave, and Fairy Tale (last two are different author/artist). I don't really mind though.

that is one reason, but you can only make so many designs.

But not many designs can make load of cash. They go with designs that fans want.
