I usually keep using my landline home phones for many years until they break, or the buttons, microphone, headset speakers and other parts are wearing out.

I don't keep track how long I use my home phone for, but in the past some phones in my home are over 10 years old, or longer, and still work.

A few years a go, I upgraded to wireless phones from wired phones because of the cheap prices for wireless home phones which can be bought for $10-20.

We always replaced when the last one broke, though finding a decent wireless phone is a hassle. My parents went through three brands before finding a good one.

I use cheap VTech wireless phones, and they work okay. But, the caller ID is kind of hard to use. The phone's speaker also could be louder. The battery also took a long time to fully charge, and if the phone is unplug for a few days the battery becomes empty after it has not been charging for a few day.

But, the VTech phones are still working after many years of use, and the range is pretty good.
