Personally, I hardly know anyone offline who plays video games, especially the same ones I'm interested in. It's pretty much been the same through university too, despite the internet meme that a ton of students end up being more interested in gaming at that time.

How many people do you know offline that play video games? Is it common in your area? Are you the only Nintendo fan in the school/university/town/workplace?

Let's put it this way: The majority of the people I play games with, are people I don't know IRL.

Pretty much my whole family, and most of my friends, and random people I know, all play video games. Guess it's pretty common in my area.

Most people I know play games, though some more than others.

The girls tend to play them less, but they'll go for Wii party games like "Just Dance", and a couple chicks are even into Skyrim.

So to answer your question directly, a decent amount people I know offline play games.

Most of the people I know play video games in some sort of fashion. I have two really good friends who play video games. One of them has a Vita and 3DS as I do so we have each other added. The other plays the 360 and PS3, so we don't have each other added as I don't play those. My brother who lives about an hour away also plays video games and I have him added as well. I associate with a lot of gamers, but I have a lot of friends and only a few good friends.

All of my friends play video games... so that's 4 people. They all own 3DS because I talked them into buying them. The one guy is really bad at videogames, though, and I love trash talking him while we play. Also last year in high-school I brought my Gamecube into the school and hooked it to the projector. That day, around 20 people played Melee. Most of them are gamers on their own time. I am the only one out of them who is a die-hard Nintendo fan.

Nobody I know plays Nintendo games as much as myself. I have friends who play games but that's about it. But we don't share similar game interests. Which stinks. Just a bit. Oh well.

I know lots of people who game, but no one who has a 3DS... Most of my close friends are either PC or 'big console' gamers.
