How much we've advanced...

We really have advanced so much over the years, it is incredible. Sometimes these improvements come to naturally that I don't even realize how much of a change today is compared to 10 years ago. Thinking about it makes me wonder just what we'll continue to accomplish. It makes me think of an episode of "Good Mythical Morning" (this episode here), where they called about 6 things that might happen in your lifetime. At the point we're at I find a lot of these hard to believe that it could be possible to exist outside of fiction, but who knows? I'm sure people didn't think we'd be this far ahead 40 years ago, so 40 years from now things could have gone beyond any of our wildest dreams and imaginations.

That's a pretty cool list of things. I sure hope I live long enough to see them in my lifetime. The robot maids idea was recently tackled in a cool (and kinky) Korean movie called The Maidroid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gokg6EHvuJs

It really is crazy to think about. Ten years ago, 128mb was the most top of the line one you could get, now it's 128GB, and the even crazier thing is that they both cost about the same, with the ten years difference respectively.

It's like with graphics cards, ten years back 512mb was considered amazing, and now I'm seeing cards that are in the 6GB range.

Thinking about the microSD cards, do you think we'll hit a limit in the maxmum amount of memory we can get on one, or is it really the skies the limit?

There's a guy - Danny Choo, I believe his name is - who is working on something similar to that idea right now, actually! Right now he just has a line of 60cm tall regular dolls, which are neat, but his ultimate project that he's got in mind from what I've heard are actually robotic dolls. He was planning on making them in the 60cm size too, but I guess they're too hard to develop that way, so he's working on a bigger project which is closer to life-sized now. He calls it "Smart Doll Plus" - the full article is here if you wanna check it out!
