I rarely buy electronics since I already have a PC, Laptop, and Tablet which work good enough for my daily tasks like e-mail, web browsing, etc. I also sometimes get electronics from relatives who upgraded their electronics, and I get their old electronics which still work well.
I buy electronics maybe once or twice a year, or no electronics.
I find installing Ubuntu Linux extends the usable life of my desktop and laptop computers because I no longer need to upgrade the RAM, CPU, and other computer parts, or buy a whole new computer to keep on using more intensive programs like Video editors because Ubuntu Linux runs pretty quickly even on older computers with a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, and smaller sized 5-10GB hard drives.
Plus, Ubuntu Linux runs a lot faster than Windows on older computers.
Hopefully, Ubuntu Linux also makes it easy for people to install Ubuntu on smartphones, tablets, and other electronics like it does on laptop and desktop computers, so people can extend the life of their older electronics by installing a lighter operating system like Ubuntu Linux on it.
I'm usually the same, but there are not many electronics I need , or want since I find I can do most stuff I want to do with a computer.
Maybe someday I just need a SmartWatch which I can wirelessly connect to a keyboard, and monitor or projector, and use my hand movements with my hand which is wearing the watch to move the mouse cursor on the screen like the Wii mote, or Kinect.
