How often do you use video game demos?

Just out of curiosity. Do you often look for a demo on the eShop or whatever equivalent before buying or downloading a game? Or do you just go on your gut instinct and buy whatever games you want when they're actually released, no prior testing required?

And how important is a demo to you?

Only demo I've ever played was an old Star Wars Game demo that came with Mario Party or something...

If there's a demo for a game I'm even remotely interested in, I'll download and play it. Honestly, it's free. Why not give the game a shot before buying? One last thing you can check/try after reading reviews and watching videos, and it seems a little silly not too if you're not 100% positive on a game that has a downloadable demo.

I wish every game had a demo prior to it's release. I always read lots of reviews and maybe watch a video for a game before I buy. With the info just sitting at my fingertips, I don't wanna be blindsided by a game I don't like or isn't what I expect!

Not that often..
But when I can't take a decision about some game, I would definitely use a demo.

I'll try demos only if it's for a game I know nothing about and it interests me, or if it's a game I'm really hyped for just to try it a bit early.

I try demos when possible but I spent more time watching let's play videos. Biggest issue now days is that there not many demos that you can play.
