I use my USB flash drive rarely since I'm almost always home or when I'm out I won't be needing to carry my files since I just go out to buy food and other non-tech related activities.

I used to use my flash drive when I was in school, but I just sometimes just e-mail the files to myself when I'm too lazy to look for it in my pocket full of coins and other stuff. Plus, if someone needs a file, I just e-mail or upload the file to megaupload or dropbox since going to someones house just to give one small file is a waste of time.

These days, I just turn on my external hard drive and back up my files manually or with Windows Backup utility. I find unpluging and pluging in a flash drive kind of a hassle compared to just switching on my external hard drive which is always plugged into my computer a lot more convenient.

A secondary Internal hard drives are also a good way to back up files since it is even more convenient and way faster.

Too be safe, I also use DVD-R to backup my files, so I have 3 copy of the same file usually. 1 on my PC another on my external drive and one on my DVD-R.

I currently just use mine to store some anime episodes that I love to watch over and over. I recently found out that taka fansubs of Naruto shippuden work on a PS3 via USB flash drive so I may use it a lot for that.

Same for me. I find it more convenient just to use my Home network to stream music and video to my Xbox 360 and watch it on my TV or other computers if I want to watch it on my TV or other computers.

It takes kind of long to make room for my USB drive to fit in a large video, and copy the file to my USB and copy the File to another computer after walking to my other computer.

Plus, you can always use a FM transmitter to transmit radio signals to your FM music radios to listen to music through out the house streaming from your computer.

There are also wireless USB video adapters which let you stream your video and audio to a Monitor or HDTV without wires.
