It depends on which dream. Some dreams we had as a kid may die out due to just getting older. Bound to happen. Other dreams, even as adults, may fizzle as well due to real life happening or we just have different goals & priorities.

Some of my dreams are very much alive. I've achieved some of them while the others are still hanging in there. If they die, I wouldn't have any purpose to go on again.

I feel some of my dreams died in my 30s.
It depends on which dreams you are referring to at the moment. As a kid, I had many dreams but as an adult, I have also had many dreams that have died out too.
In terms of dreams I had as a child, I always dreamed that one day I would become a teacher. How my life went and the health issues I ended up with, those dreams died out.
As an adult, I have had dreams of becoming a successful content creator and also running a successful forum. I came super close to the forum dream until I had to let my forum go due to high price increases. The content creator I am still working on so I would not say that has died yet.

The rising cost of everything due to inflation makes things difficult for almost everyone. It's only a few people who doesn't mind so much because they can afford whatever they need. This is what affected your running of forum. I hope you can get it back on track in the future.

So do it. And don't let it be once, go as often as you want and can reasonably afford.
It is funny how a lot of stuff gets done when you are busy doing something else. This is coming from a person who has accidently achieved some of her dreams, and while actively working on other goals of my own.
Case in point, I met my husband while I was kinda sorta on a movie date with someone else, and he took my order. (We didn't start dating until the end of that night, and broke up 8 months later.) When I applied for a job there, the guy that took my order was running the new hire orientation, and we became friends and didn't start dating until the end of that year.. and we've been together since.
Another example, was when on Mother's Day, we were with my parent's and siblings at a restaurant, and my Mom mentions that one day she wants to take a cruise with us all, and we all talked about it, and where we would go, and I legit thought that were were just talking, and the next thing I know, that following February my Black ass was on a cruise with my family LOL.. to this day, I am not sure how the plans were made. So yeah.. yet another dream, accidently accomplished.. lol
But seriously, don't just let this be a dream, do your research, make a plan, go out and get it done. Also you should know that every place has an off-season, and it is usually much cheaper and more enjoyable then.
