How Pokemon X and Y were Named

Pokémon X & Y developers have talked about how the upcoming game got its name, as well as the benefits of introducing the new Fairy type.

In a first for Iwata Asks, the Nintendo president's sit-down session with Game Freak director Junichi Masuda and Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has been presented as a transcript, in which the trio discuss how the name for the latest entries in the franchise came about.
