Cam attended the Huawei launch event for the P8 and P8 Max, where the biggest surprise was probably the fact that these are designed, and priced as more high-end flagships than we're used to. Both feature a classy metal body, impressive spec sheets and some very cool-sounding features. Will that be enough to establish the brand? Against Samsung and HTC, it could be a tough ask in the West, but early impressions are very good.

Huawei P8 Specs
5.2-inch 1080p display (424ppi)
13MP camera with OIS
Octa-Core processor
2,680mAh battery
3GB RAM
16/64 GB storage (expandable)
8MP front facing camera
Android 5.0

Huawei P8 Max Specs
6.8-inch 1080p display
13MP camera with OIS
Octa-Core processor
4,600mAh battery
3GB RAM
16/64 GB storage (expandable)
8MP front facing camera
Android 5.0

This looks like a good phone.

I wish Huawei would sell nicer smartphones like the P8, and P8 Max more in Canada rather than mostly selling their budget smartphones like the Huawei Ascend Y330 4GB which is sold with prepaid cell plans for around $30-80 at different cell service providers.

I agree. Their international business plan is poorly organized. They seem to be avoiding certain countries where people, who actually like their brand, are forced to either order the devices from eBay or choose one of their low end products.
