I think Hulu Plus and Crackle are good things that are about to make the Ps3 Vita more advanced. I think its always great to be able to have more services and opportunities for all systems that are on the market now. The reason I have stated this is because the internet is always involving and more things are always getting created online. It is always good to have the access to all this great material through your wireless and gaming systems. I honesty don't think that it's just useless services being wasted, I believe it is giving those who don't have a Ps3 but only have a Vita will finally have the access to these services as well. I think people need to understand that just because you haven't doesn't mean other's do.

These are great and all. But they aren't a necessity for me. Neither are the Youtube and Netflix apps they have. But I know for some people it's a big deal. I just feel bad for them because no matter what apps they put on there, someone is going to whine about something not being there.

Wow, more useless streaming services...

I agree with you 100% except if they were free. The more free services, the better. I will continue to use youtube and that's it. playstation can keep their hulu and crackle. I personally have never used crackle but hulu is not bad at all.

What most of the people calling these things useless apps don't understand is that these applications aren't ONLY meant for them. They're meant for the broader spectrum as a whole. For YOU, it may be useless. But for millions of others, these applications get used all the time. Believe it or not, people WANT these things and it adds variety to the system.

Crackle is a given that's free.

But Hulu Plus you'll pay the same fee every other system and device has to pay for it. $7.99

I believe that the more services they bring to the device - the better. I don't use Crackle, Hulu, or Netflix - but the more people that see the PS Vita as appealing to them, and go ahead and buy it - the more people software developers see as potential buyers. And the more software comes out. If only x people buy the PS Vita, we might get y games, but if 3x people buy it - we might get 2y games. And some of those games will have to be good. At least that is my hope.

I don't know that I would watch much of Hulu or Crackle on a mobile handheld device like the Vita. I mean I'm sure it helps sell some devices and I think there are people out there who use it but between the commercials and the limited selection of titles to most it just won't be worth it...

This statement here is right on the money.

People have to realize the Vita has to cater to everyone. Not just a select few. By catering to everyone, you have a better chance at more sales and that means the developers will see a bigger potential audience for whatever games they produce in the end.

I wouldn't use these two features because watching movies on the go doesn't appeal to me. I could see for a younger kid it would be a good way to keep them quiet. I don't have Hulu or Crackle on my PS3 because I will just buy a Blu-ray if I want to watch movies. I don't like streaming because my Internet is too slow. Sony is trying to appeal to all types of consumers, and I can't be mad at that decision. As for me, I don't have any use for these services.
