Kyoto Animation is back with another anime. Although there are only 7 episodes so far, I gotta say, this one shows a lot of promise.
Story:
The main plot isn't really special or original, but its refreshingly new. The main character, Oreki Hotaro, is a minimalistic high school student with a talent for deductions (that he rarely uses to preserve his energy). His lifestyle change abruptly when he joins a club at his school on the request of his sister and meets Chitanda Eru, a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity when something picks her interest. The other characters are Fukube Satoshi, a carefree self proclaimed database full of information, and Ibara Mayaka, the short strict girl that gets angry a lot and has a crush on Satoshi.
Animation & Sounds:
The quality is outstanding & pretty detailed, as you would expect from Kyoto animation.
The background music, while not being noteworthy and easy ignores, still fits into every moment perfectly.
Enjoyment:
The unconventional story & treatment of its characters makes this series all the more interesting & enjoyable. Its like getting a book for light reading. While it is not anything exciting, you can easily lose track of time as you watch how events unfold throughout the series.
