Is it safe to eat a banana that is a bit mushy inside? It's still yellow, although it already has some brown spots around it. I've been buying the same type of banana and this one I recently bought doesn't have the same texture as the previous bananas that I bought. It still tastes just as good, but it feels weird chewing something mushy like this.
I personally prefer the greenest of bananas to eat. But as long as its not black it should be fine, though sounds like it would make perfect banana bread.
