I wonder if Microsoft will offer a full or partial refund to customers which are affected by these problems.
 
Not sure if anyone was refunded at all for this outage at the time but if they were quick to revert the changes, they may not have.

I see it being a huge issue for the person who initiated the update if they didn't check it before they applied it. Luckily things seem to have been dealt with pretty quickly.

I'm sure MS has a contract thing saying they don't have to for x amount of time.
 
I've had issues with Microsoft Word since we got this computer 3 years ago. Even took it in & did remote access. Still have issues. Microsoft doesn't seem to listen to their customer base because they figure people HAVE to use them. They just don't seem to care about us customers.

Tbh, that’s such a vague problem that it could be a number of things. Did you actually take it to a Microsoft Store and were they the ones who were doing the remote help, or did you go to a Geek Squad?

Geek Squad. It seems Microsoft closed all their physical stores & just do online. I would prefer to take it into a physical location & then do remote access but the stores are not there anymore. WORD on my husband's laptop under my account works fine. I even switched to 365 hoping that would fix it but it didn't. Because see, I had other issues with my computer. Some browsers & sites not loading, lagging. Geek Squad fixed that issue with what they did. I had hoped WORD's issue was because the computer was screwed up. & it seemed to be okay. For a day lol Then it went back to stalling.

Then your previous complaint about saying “Microsoft doesn’t care about their customers” isn’t really Microsoft’s fault if you went through Geek Squad. That’s like complaining that Ford doesn’t care about their customers, but you went to a third party place like Firestone for your car problems.

I went to Microsoft online a few times asking questions on their Help page before going to Geek Squad. This been going on 3 years. They had given me ideas but nothing was applicable to my predicament. I had also seen others complain about things & their voices were not being heard as well. I wanted to give all the benefit of the doubt as I didn't know what the main issue was.
I'll continue to look for friends to help me find a solution.

You might need to dig around for more information on your predicament, because if you gave as little information as you gave us, there's a reason why you can't find the solution to your problem. Just telling us Word doesn't work and crashes doesn't give enough information to diagnose a problem outside of generic canned responses.

On this forum, I was merely making a comment about Microsoft for this article. I wasn't expecting computer help from a gaming forum hence why I was generic. I appreciate it however :)
