I hope the Wii U doesn't rely too much on third party games

I know Nintendo seem to have become all about pleasing both 'casual' and 'hardcore' audiences, but I think Nintendo still needs to realise that third parties don't seem to want to make their best gams for their systems, and by relying too much on them they'll doom themselves to failure.

That's why it took some good Nintendo published games to get the 3DS going (Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart, Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus), and that's why I honestly worry about the idea of the Wii U launching this year, because it doesn't seem like it's ready.

We need more than New Super Mario Bros Mii and some third party stuff Nintendo, we ideally need either a major 'interesting' Mario game (2D or 3D, without the NSMB stuff and boring content), a HD Zelda game or Smash Bros 4 just to give people a reason to buy it, since no one will buy a Wii U to play third party games likely available on other systems.

As for the expanded audience, they want something like a Wii Sports equivalent, something to sell the console to millions of non gamers. Something simple but revolutionary enough millions are lining up to buy it.

I just fear unless Nintendo shows some really good Wii U games as part of the launch line up, that we'll have another 3DS launch situation on our hands.

Anyone agree?
