Meant to post this last month, but I went picking at a local farm in Iowa and got these sweet berries! They seriously taste like candy they are so good :grin:
 
Strawberries are high in vitamin c and antioxidants. Excellent fruit.
 
Had some today. Put them in salad and mix them in with dark chocolate spread from the produce section.
 
Nice haul! Do you just eat them as is or do you like to mix them into anything?

We like to eat fresh strawberries, they don't last very long in our house. We keep frozen kinds in stock to mix into smoothies and oatmeal. I once made strawberry pie and that was a huge success.

Indeed, but does not keep one from getting sick.

I'll either eat them or sugar them up to get some delicious juice!
 
Thanks for sharing the pictures of Strawberries. I like strawberries as well because they are sweet, and juicy. They also look nice. I like strawberry flavored ice cream as well.
 
Lovely pick. I love strawberries and cream (as long as it's double cream and not too thick)

My parents had strawberry patches when I was younger. It was always a joy to go out & pick them. Not many made it back into the house however lol
I haven't been any berry picking in a long time. Don't have too many patches up near us.

So lucky, I wish I had my own personal patch, but growing strawberries is a task and a half.
