Stonewoot just bought me 2 gift prepaid cards so mine is currently DLing. I had to wait for the eShop maintenance to be done first. We finally have a game you and I can play together Nin!
My L button doesnt work so well either but i won't buy a new 3DS because of that.... such a waste of good money, and i still need to buy with Wii U, prolly after i finished some 3DS games after i bought them after my final exams, ..... which might be never since the 3DS keeps getting great games :U
But like, first exams, then i will finish the Zelda game i downloaded (Ocarina of Time 3D), then buy Luigis mansion, then Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, then Mario & Luigi Bowsers inside story, then the dream team one, golf one, pokemon X...... TOO MANY GAMES D8

If you bought the 3DS new it should still be under warranty. If so, Nintendo will cover all shipping and repair fees if you call them.

I have my 3DS since august 2011 so...yeah...
you can renew your warranty at nintendo.com. Mine has a 2 year factory warranty that came with it.
