Want to play a game that you can't log out from and possibly die in? Well that will most likely never happen but IBM is trying to give people the real SAO experience.
It's called the Sword Art Online The Beginning Project:
Participants will wear VR headgear and, according to Dengeki Online, will appear in the virtual reality space as 3D scanned avatars, turning their whole bodies into controllers instead of using a traditional gamepad. The VR experience will also take advantage of IBM’s SoftLayer cloud service and its cognitive systems.
