There will probably be less trespassing, food theft, and other small crimes. Most of the home and car break-ins and pick pockets are by drug addicts which are mostly poor and homeless in many cases where I live.

This is an interesting topic, however, I don't think that with fewer homeless and poor people there would be less crime. Gang members receive profits from selling drugs to their cilents but not all clients are poor/homeless. Gangs are like a virus, they creates a lot of problems in society and crime rate will rapidly increase as long as they're alive.

Hmm... I believe when people are happy and satisfied (have food and enough money etc), they don't usually commit crimes because they have no reasons to. Unless they want more power and/or money and it's not so rare. :/

Not really.
There are people who likes to rob people and they are always greedy. So, there is no proof that crime would stop just like that.....but people who actually commit crime.....as they don't have any other choice might make different decisions though.

I don't necessarily associate crime with the homeless population. The people who usually steal, are people who make a career out of it and basically do it for a living. They'll steal stuff so that they can turn around and sell whatever item they steal and then pocket the money.

I agree there would be always be crime from greedy people, and people with mental and personal problems which cause criminals to steal, and hurt other people by committing crimes like online bullying, hitting people, and racism.

But, I feel there would be less crime from poor hungry people who feel they need to steal food, money, and other stuff because their local government is not doing enough to help them find a job to earn enough money to pay for food, and other expenses, so they may decide to steal food and money to survive because they are unlucky, and can't get hired by an employer.

There is now a lot of crime like robbery in Venezuela because the government can't provide enough help to feed all the hungry people. I feel if hungry people had good paying jobs in Venezuela, there would be less crime like food riots and looting in Venezuela.

Hundreds are arrested in Venezuela during food riots and looting

Security forces in Venezuela have arrested at least 400 people after the latest bout of looting and food riots sweeping the country.

Sometimes it's very sad to see people suffering all the time. We would be giving them what we can bit it's never enough.
I really don't know what we should be doing.

I agree it is very sad seeing people suffering, and many people are also poor, so they can't give much or have a lot of free time to volunteer at a homeless shelter. I feel people who are rich should help the suffering out more rather than buying as many expensive things, raising prices on things like food if they own a farm, factory and store, going on many expensive vacations.
