I'm lost in Metroid Other M

I can't get to where you fight the first boss I've gone through every room I can but I don't know how to get there. Someone please help me.

First boss...the first boss I can think of is in the room you first reach with the Galactic Federation team, after the scene where Samus blows up the charge they put on the blast door. The path is fairly straightforward...can't really explain it, but here's a link to a video that shows the path to that room, starting right after the scene with the blast door:
