If there was one thing you could improve on the Wii U, what would it be?

I wished Wii U comes bundled with the regular gamepad, and tablet controller in one box. 1 Free Disc game would also be nice. The Wii was bundled with Wii sports which is not an epic game, but it gave gamers something to play while they search for more games to play.

Release it with a better game like Mario Kart 8 or Super Smash Bros 4 (when they are released, of cource). Many players are looking forward to those games, so I'm sure it would sell better then. Changing the name to something better would be good too.

I agree on the name.  Why they went thr route of using the "Wii" name in the new console is beyond me.  the Wii was the laughing joke of last gen, so why give its bad rep to the new console?

For me, I'd change the chat structure.  I don't want to see my friends when i talk, ie video chat channel, I just want to voice chat, and be able to do it from the home menu and such.

They wanted to keep a brand. It's similar to the GameCube being named Game- for the Gameboy line. They're doing it with the 3DS, too, since that's the DS brand.

I hadn't thought about the Game-cube and Game-boy.

Aside the portable consoles, the home always seemed to have different games. I was okay with the Wii name because I was in the understanding the decision was to make people remember the name without confusing it with other consoles.
"Hello, I'd like to buy a Playcube, please"

Wii U however I feel is a back pedal keeping the 'wii', as many are failing to see it is a new system. Rant aside, I think it is late to change the name, that would damage more than help now. I think Nintendo need to spend more resources on marketing to make sure people understand what is the Wii U and what does it offers.

In the end I am used to the name and if people could grasp that 3DS is not a DS,  there is hope same thing will happen even if it is taking longer.

I can see why Nintendo called it the Wii U and kept the "Wii" name.  The majority of the customers that come into the store where I work are ignorant to the fact that Wii is actually made by the same people who made the 3DS.  They just know it as "Wii".  So I can see how simplifying a console's name can make it more accessible and familiar with people.  However it causes the problem (especially when it isn't advertised properly) of confusion when you make a brand new console and just add a letter 'U'; they think it's an accessory to the Wii.  So it's a double edged name.

If I could improve the actual console, I'd add another gamepad or the possibility to add other people's gamepads to the system like Wii remotes; so we could play with two people on the gamepads and the other two on the tv or such.

Or in an awesome fantasy world where money doesn't matter, I'd make it possible to play two Wii U games at once, one on the T.V and one on the gamepad haha, two disk drives... oh dear; in a perfect world.
