In the future, would most new software be made in hours to days instead of weeks, months or years?

Yes, when there are newer programming languages or newer versions of older programming languages which you have to type fewer lines of code, and memorize fewer lines of code to make a computer programs.

Plus, better keyboards which make it possible for you to type super fast without your hands getting as tired because you can tap the keyboard keys lighter to press a key.

Maybe in the future, making a computer program might be like photoshop where you draw out the program, and use the mouse to program the button by telling the programming computer what to do by using a wizard like program.

It is currently possible to make simple computer programs in hours or less with Microsoft Visual Basic.NET computer programing languages. I used to make media players, web browsers, and simple games in an hour or less by following tutorials, and writing a small amount of code.

Google now has Google DART programming language which makes writing computer programs for web browsers a lot faster and easier then using older programming languages like ASP.NET, JavaScript, etc.

now that the technology age is fully rolling in with kids who grew up with it coming out of tech school I say yes.

The average kid can create apps, and programs by following computer programming books, YouTube video programming tutorials, or by using computer programming tutorial websites, so kids don't always need to go to school to learn computer programming if they have a passion for making programs by learning how to do them by themselves.

I predict in the future making computer programs might be as common as making HTML websites since the info on making computer programs can very easily be found in books, online, or other resources like video if you are willing to learn.

But, I wonder what programs still need to be made in the future since I'm currently pretty happy using web browsers, word processors, anti-virus, paint programs, video editors, calculators, FTP clients, and instant messaging which been around for years. I'm also pretty happy playing older and classic PC games, and some of the newer games for PC don't look that fun to me compared to the classics.

I haven't really used a new piece of software in a long time, and a lot of the new software seems slower then the old classic software.
