Smoking food has always been a great hobby that ends with great-tasting food, but it has also been mostly limited to the outdoors for fairly obvious reasons. However, GE's new Profile Smart Indoor Smoker was released lately and offers not only a way to smoke indoors, but a smart system to remove a lot of the headaches of smoking food.

This isn't a product ad or anything (and for $1000 I'd say wait for the reviews to come out anyway), but now that something like this exists, would it get you into smoking? It looks like a microwave for smoking food and solves the biggest problems that people in apartments and even the suburbs face when smoking food.

For the amount of risk or price attached, I might just add liquid smoke or seasonings instead.

I'd rather use the $1000 to buy new gaming Pc parts/components rather than buying an indoor smoker lol

People in apartments and suburbs don’t have issues with smoking their food outside.
I feel like the ones without outdoor areas or where people are stuck with neighbors who will report smokers as an air quality concern might have difficulties, but I could be wrong.

I think that be a huge issue, mostly due to the smell it would make.
Supposably there isn't a smoke smell, I'd really want to see that in action, but that is the claim.

$1000 for an indoor smoker is an expensive cost. But, if this indoor smoker uses less electricity, the owner likes to smoke their food often, and the smoker is easy to clean, an Indoor indoor smoker can be worth it.

Probably depends on fire code laws, like if you live in a drier area, and it’s summer, so the chance of fires increase. Other than that, it just sounds like an asshole neighbor.

I know you could but in the winter when it snows you wouldn't want to use a smoker.

While we have never had a smoker, we've bought smoked fish which is quite good. I wouldn't mind having a smoker & an indoor one at that but it has to come down in price big time. Also I'd want to be sure my home won't smell like a smokehouse.
I'm sure eventually, if they haven't already, YouTubers will be unboxing this & making a Review.
