Infinity Blade II is probably one of THE best games you can get for the IPod Touch & IPhone 4th gen and up. If anyone has played "Blood and Glory" by Glu games, then it's much like that. Only with 100% steroids.
It's one of those games where you have to make a cutting motion upon the enemy like your cutting it with a blade. Different slash directions bring up set combo's, dishing out more damage than regular slashes.
WARNING :THERE BE SPOILERS HERE.
Storyline
The game starts off at a huge Chinese garden of some sorts. Siris (protagonist) is told by Isa to go ask Saydhi where he could find the "Worker of Secrets." Now, if you had read Infinity Blade: Awakening, then you know what happens next. He hauls ass and has his question answered. She recognizes the Infinity and duels him, in which she fails. He notices a pedestal just like the one in the God King's castle and places it in, only to have it sink in the ground. The God King pops up, retrieves his blade, but doesn't kill Siris-Cus he gets shot in the head from an arrow by Isa. He wakes up in a chamber and reizes he's a Deathless, just like the God King and Saydhi.
*NOTE: the reason Saydhi is dead is because she was killed by the Infinity Blade AKA The God Killer. The god King is still alive because when he was slain, the blade needed one more piece of blood from Siris before it was given the God Killing effect. So when Siris when into the underground chambers and slain his Ancestor, part of his bloodline, and activating the blade. Refer to Infinity Blade: Awakening.
Graphics are much like the first-awesome. Chair fully used the Retina Display to get the nice, smooth effects inside both IB I & II.
Another more thing I love about IB II is that, unlike the first, you can use 1 of 3 different classes-Light or Swordsman, Heavy or Brute as I call it and Dual Blade. The swordsman/Light class is the main class of the game for both I & II. So your equipment will be a sword and shield of your choice. The Heavy/Brite class is a single weird axe or mace of your choice. With this class you don't move as fast, but you can dish out larger amounts of damage. The last class, Dual Blade, is simply put-Dual Blading! You can move much faster and can keep hit combos going untill you stop or the opponent blocks. So you can mix & match based on your opponent.
One last thing they added in are Gems. These little babies can up attack, defence, single element resistance or attack, increase health or armor or even make it so you get more cash while looting chests or defeating an enemy. So if you want to increase the fire resistance on an ice sword, place the gem on and your good to go!
So all in all, this game is well worth $7. If anyone here has an iPod/iPhone 4th gen+, then I really recommend this game. I think chair should go for the 3DS and make a complete killing. Think about it-3D enemies, slashes poping out, giant-ass castle...
Edit-some fore things I forgot to mention-Chair also added in a new enemy type-I like to call them Warriors: enemies with a long, double blades lance/sword. (like Darth Maul in Star Wars) along with them are newer enemies, enemies have different attack combos and a few more deaths and an XP bonus for completing a set task while battling an enemy. Ex: scratch the enemy 20 times, successfully block 10 hits. The boost can help for leveling up faster, like holding the flag in Team Defender on CoD MW3: for every kill your team makes, you get 20 xp.
Edit #2-FML I forgot something else. They also added in Keys for chests. So if you find or buy a large key, you can use it to open up a large chest. Another thing are "Spinwheels" I believe they're called. Buy/get one and onced used, you get a random item depicted by the type-regular gets you new regular items, rare gets you new rare items and super rare gets you, you guessed it, super rare items. And along with health potions are shield potions, double XP potions and a few others.
Graphics-12/10
Gameplay-13/10
Storyline-10/10 (you somewhat have an idea from both IB & IB: A)
Probably missing something else....)-)
If it were possible, I'd go ∞/10 but in reality, 15/10.
I wasted a whole hour writing this when I could have been hauling me some daeril ass...
