Intel admits: Latest Broadwell Core M chips have no fans at all

Intel said in a presentation [PDF] on Monday that it has achieved a four-times reduction in thermal design power (TDP) with Broadwell as compared to 2010's "Nehalem" chips. This means the Core M will be the first processor on Intel's Core road map that can run without a fan, which in turn means PC makers will be able to design Core M devices that are just 7.2mm thick.

This is good news for people who need a Windows, or Mac Intel based computer which does not need a fan for cooling.

Although, there are already cheaper Google Android, and Linux based laptops, tablets, and desktop PCs which uses lesser known brands of chips like VIA, and AllWinner which are already fanless, and uses the rooms air to cool itself.
