Internal Server Errors'?

An Internal Server Error message normally looks like this:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@example.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It can be caused by a few reasons. I'll list the 3 most common ones below.

1. A wrong permission setting in you public_html folder, making it writable by group.
Fixed by changing the permission from "777" to "755"

2. Corrupted .htaccess file.
Normally easy to fix if you know what should be in it and what shouldn't be. If you don't then contact you Host's support service and ask them to help.

3. Wrong php.ini configuration.
Same as the .htaccess file. The most common issue is a change in the initial values.

Yes thank you, I've needed it for mine studies or homework's!

I like to make it a point that I don't want the site to be used for people to cheat on their homework by having others give them the answers.

If this continues to happen then people better start giving answers for my cobol and MS visual studio class homework.

lol would be a dumb teacher to boot you off a course for doing research on the internet on a subject. How are you supposed to learn about something if you don't go asking and looking for information.

right way: you search the internet looking for the answer through official web pages and checking sources putting time and effort into it.

wrong way: You post the question, someone does all the work and you turn it in claiming you did it the right way.

Getting caught doing it the wrong way in any USA school would lead to sever punishment/trouble.
