The United Nations Human Rights Council, which passed a non-binding resolution in June that condemns countries that intentionally take away or disrupt its citizens’ internet access.

Sadly, there will still be many people without internet or reliable internet access which is fairly priced.

Now if they only made it fast and affordable.

That's a really great thing to have happened, as the internet can be important for everyone. Now the next step would getting everyone connected and at an affordable price.

That would be cool to see the cost to go way down then before.

Does this mean they'll allow it to prisoners in jails?

I think once you go to jail, you lose a lot of human rights like the freedom to travel, and buy food you want to eat instead of eating whatever food the Prison provides for them.

Some prisons allow limited internet access for some things like schooling, but online games, entertainment, and social networking is most likely banned.

god I hope not.

I agree prisoners who break the law shouldn't have access to the internet for entertainment like online gaming, downloading music, online video and social networking.

But, I'm okay with prisoners using the internet to make money to help pay for their food, healthcare, housing, and stuff like clothing, beds, and blankets instead of having the government use people's tax money to pay for prisoner's food, healthcare, housing, and stuff.

If this ever happened, crime would skyrocket as all the NEETs would just want to rush into jail.

If prisoners had to use their personal savings, or work long hours in a labor camp to pay very high prices for Internet, and high prices for rent, food, clothing, and blankets, there would be less crime since people will not want to break the law. People don't like being imprisoned while being overcharged for stuff like internet, rent, and food.

Wow I never expected it from US at all.
Seriously? I wonder when this act would come to India...but I highly doubt it would come anytime soon.
