The Gamevice is a cool contraption that brings tactile controls to your iPhone or iPad (different versions). The controls feel great and truly emulate a console controller experience. If you already of an iPad here's a way to step up the gaming experience especially for longer gaming sessions.

From the manufacturer -

- Legit Console Control - Dual Analog Sticks, Sturdy Twin Triggers, The Classic D-Pad and a button layout you've been using for years

- Transforms your iPad mini into the most powerful gaming handheld in the world

- Over 650 compatible games and growing!

- Check out the free Gamevice Live app for all of the known controller-compatible games available on iTunes, with options to filter by category including free or paid titles.

- Made for iPad mini. This product will fit ipad mini 2/3 perfectly . It fits the iPad mini 1/4 just fine but the stability is not the same as others.

I like that the controller is a nice size, and comes with a lot of buttons, joystics, and a directional pad.

The controller looks nice to use.

I wonder would Game Vice make a version of their Game Vice for the regular sized iPad and iPad Pro.

So kind of like the Switch then?

Yes, the Gamevice and Switch are similar. I think the Gamevice's maybe more durable because the Gamevice is more like a case instead of removable handles which slide onto the side of the tablet like the Switch controllers.

The Gamevice is made by Wikipad according to its website terms of service page which says " Gamevice.com. Published by Wikipad, Inc." on the top of the page.

The Wikipad did not do well. I think most people rather buy cheaper tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire, Google Nexus 7, etc, and their own bluetooth controller, or a controller case instead of the Wikipad which cost more money than cheaper alternatives.

Hopefully Nintendo can make the Switch stand out from this and others.

I feel Nintendo needs to release a lot of good games like Zelda, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart for the Switch.

Nintendo also needs to try to attract more good third-party game series like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Destiny, Titan Fall, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Grand Theft Auto, etc, so gamers will be more likely to buy the Switch because there is a lot to play on the Switch instead of mainly buying the Switch to play a few first party Nintendo games, and exclusive third-party games.

If there are not many good games for the Switch, many gamers will stick to playing on consoles like the PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, Gaming PC, and mobile gaming devices which they may already own because they don't want to buy the Switch if it does not have a lot of great games being released for it.
