My Windows XP desktop, desktop computer which I bought in 2007, and 2012 Google Android Nexus 7 tablet also has 1 GB of RAM. Pretty soon, $40-50 Google Android smartphones would have 2GB of RAM instead of 512MB-1GB as prices for smartphones become cheaper because of more competition, and cheaper prices for smartphone parts like smartphone RAM.
I feel people who buy the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are getting ripped off by Apple since it will probably cost $5-10 more to install 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB. 2GB of RAM would make multi-tasking, tab browsing, and mobile gaming more smooth, and less laggy than using 1GB which is very little RAM for phones made in 2014.
