Yes, I think a tablet like the Razer's Edge is the best gaming device for portable gaming.

Gamers won't need to buy a TV, Speakers, and HDMI cables to play their games because they can use the screen and speakers built-in to the tablet to game, and they can choose to use a gamepad controller like a USB Xbox 360 Controller, controller case, keyboard and mouse, and even the touchscreen to play games as well when their wireless controller battery needs to be charged or replaced.

A Tablet is also portable, so you can use it almost anywhere, and just need a case, or small bag to carry it around unlike a console, laptop, or gaming pc which are less portable, and has poorer battery life.

I think it cost $999 which is $100 more than the Windows 8 Surface Pro, but the Razer's Edge is made for gaming.
