I've always bought the past games and all, but I'm not sure whether I even want to buy the 3DS one when it comes out, simply because the Wii U one will probably be the bigger/better game.
Is anyone else thinking they might either skip or think twice about the 3DS version of Smash Bros 4 and just buy the Wii U version instead?
They're both made by Nintendo, it's guaranteed that they'll both be of very high quality. I'm getting both versions, since it was said they they'll be different, right?
Well, I have (and will have) more friends on the 3DS then on the Wii U. Add to that the fact that I will probably rarely have people come over to play and would be playing online... Maybe I WILL get the 3DS one and not the Wii U version. They would have to make the Wii U one MUCH better to offset the convenience for me.
The 3DS version and Wii U are connected in a way that, while not confirmed, you MIGHT need the 3DS version to unlock certain things in the Wii U version, or whatever. Remember how you could unlock Rosalina in Mario Kart Wii just by having the Super Mario Galaxy save file? Or how you can transfer the characters in the Game Boy Color version of Mario Golf to the Nintendo 64 version?
I think that a lot of people are unsure about buying new games. It's the trailers' job to persuade us to buy it and make us think 'oh, that's bad ass, I'm gonna buy that' or whatever. But I'm gonna get it no matter what.
Ooooooo. No. You can NEVER second guess the Smash Bros Series! Think about it this way. Both versions are going to be different. But basically they're going to be the same! We all know we're not staying inside all day, that would just be insane.
If you DON'T buy the portable version, you'll only regret not being able to connect them (in whatever possible fashion it's supposed to be connected)! It'll definitely keep you busy having both, as I know FOR A FACT, I am NOT unhooking my Wii U to bring that and that SUPER tablet to a friends house. (Too much work for poor Cynos)
I'm not worried in the least. If anything..having two versions is more exciting. I'll bet there will be interchangable version exclusive characters. As of now, I'm in favor of the portable version for the convenience and promised "customization focus". Now we play the waiting game until more info is released.
I'm not worried AT ALL. I have been playing this series ever since N64 version. Sakurai really made this game shine and I will DEFINETLY get at least one version of it!
Sakurai has already said that the two are going to be quite different, with each tailored to its respective console. I doubt one will end up better or worse. They'll be equally good, but in different ways. So for that reason, I shall be getting both.
