I find Auto-save to be a very important option for me when I am typing out homework since Windows sometimes crashes suddenly causing me to lose all my work if I'm not using auto-save in my Word Processor. I also like how newer Word Processors can also recover unsaved work if Windows, or your Word Processor crashes.
It is great that Firefox, Chrome, and newer web browsers also have an auto-recovery feature which can reopen the tabs and pages you are on before the web browser crashed.
Autosave has definitely saved my butt more than once! I save my word docs pretty regularly as it is, but of course the program always chooses to crash right between saves. SO glad all the ones I use have a recovery option!
I also love that Firefox has the ability to save tabs, since it means I don't have to wait until I'm all done with whatever's in the tabs to restart (to install an addon or something). I use to put off restarting for days, just because I didn't want to bookmark a tab before restarting the browser, lol.
