We live in a society where we like the man to be the one to express feelings first. While I'm old-school & have no problem, me as a female, expressing feelings to a man, I know I would appreciate it if it was shown first. But I've also been married a long time & I hold onto old-fashioned ideals. There's just something about holding onto tradition that makes one, or at least me lol, feel goodMost women would like the man to make the move first. I guess that is more like how it should be.
I agree, there's nothing awkward about it. As a matter of fact, I was impressed when a lady told me her feelings. She's got the balls of a man. There's nothing awkward about it, feelings are feelings, gender should be immaterial. It is ironic that custom dictates the traditionally more stoic gender express their feelings first, lol.
