Yes, it is best to try to get traffic from Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook, Forums, Google Plus, and other websites with lots of visitors.

Plus, E-mail, mail, offline advertising by using posters, word of mouth, stickers with links, and T-shirts with your link on it can also be a great way to get more members from the offline world.

more areas traffic comes from the better, doesn't hurt to have it coming from a blog to a website and vis versa.
