Is it kind of weird that people still call the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii Next Generation console?

I call the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii Current Generation consoles since they been out for many years, and Next Gen Consoles will be the PS4, Xbox 720, Wii 2, etc.

When I read articles with Next Gen, I usually think about the PS4, Xbox 720, and Wii 2, but most of the time they talk about the PS3, 360, and Wii.

Since those aren't out yet, then no it's not weird. Until the NGP comes out, which is the first official 8th generation gaming system, PS3, 360, and Wii are still the "next gen". Same with the DS and PSP.
