I find it more difficult to earn cash online if you are not very tech savvy or don't know much about the internet.

Plus, I notice people and companies who manage to make a living online like gamespot.com, ign.com, google.com, etc have long term goals and are very committed.

I think it is simpler to find a job and make enough to support yourself doing something like mopping floors at a warehouse then relying on the internet for income,

I think trying to earn cash via internet is very dangerous specially if your whole life is deponent on that money. Reasons why I say it is if the website gets hacked, you lose power/internet connection, or the website is not popular enough to stay up your screwed.

I agree, most people should not quit their day job to earn cash online unless they really know what they are doing like IGN.com and are already earning enough money to feed themselves.

However, it is a good way to earn recreational money for game consoles, and DVDs. For example, spending 1-4 hours a day on making a website can pay off if you know what you are doing. It also is better then sitting at home waiting for telephone calls and e-mails from employers to call you for a job interview. Making a website also might expand your job oppurtunities since a lot of companies need people to make websites, but they do not want to hire someone with a degree since it will be too expensive compared to a web developer with no degree, but know how to make a decent website.

Example of success story online: http://www.bubzbeauty.com/ she is a girl who makes make-up tutorial on Youtube who expanded her buisness to making T-shirts and selling it on her website, and now she earns all her profits from ads on youtube, her website, and her clothing sales on her online store. She started her youtube channal as a hobby and work on making videos for a few hours when she was not working at her family restaurant for nearly the whole day, but now she made a career out of her online videos, website and fashion line.

Answers to your question.

If your website gets hacked, you can restore from your backup files and database files if you were smart enough to make them, and change your passwords to your accounts.

If you lose power or internet connection, you can go to the library or a public building with internet access and bring your laptop or USB flash drive along to work on your website.

If your webhosting company constantly loses power, and connection, you need to find a better webhosting company like Godaddy and reset up your files and databases on their server.

If your website is not popular enough, you need to try harder at advertising or pick a topic for your website which is more interesting. Plus, there are free options for creating and hosting a website like Joomla, and wordpress.

I found a free webhosting company http://www.bryansoft.com/index.php , but you have to atleast post 1 post on their forum to get 500MB of free hosting.

A college education, and applying for jobs is more practical, but there is also no promise of getting a job after you finish school or applied to hundreds of companies and sent out your resume, or being employed long enough for unemployment insurance or to have enough money to support yourself for a few months till you can find a job again.

Unemployment numbers in the US Fox News

For example, the car industry which used to be one of America's top industries is now losing sales to Europe and Asia, so they need to layoff a lot of employees or go bankrupt.

I agree with you.

It is slightly easier to market yourself and a website compared to reality with Youtube, Twitter, blogs, and other social media compared to Resumes and cover letters since you can only use 1-3 pages to show off your skills and attributes.

Plus, I earned a few hundred dollars in the past year from selling online ads and web hosting and I only have to post a link or make someone a web host account to someone page on my page. It is not a lot of cash, but it helps pay for web hosting and domain registrations. I think if your very skilled in web design and graphic design, you can get a lot of customers through the web.

It is just hard earning over 1000-10,000 dollars or more per month or year for starters. But, earning 1-2 dollars a day is not as hard if you know your audience well, and you know how to write intersting articles which people love to read.

You are right there on that case you can make some hundreds but if you would spent the same time working in RL you would earn more. Vola you don't get more on the internet unless you don't work and that would be your income then you would get more cash from internet then from RL.

BTW you mean Me making nice articles ?
