Is Metroid 2 worth it?

As club nintendo users know, metroid 2 is a reward this month for 150 coins.

My question is, is it worth 150 coins? I have 470 coins left that expire after 2 years. I got Kid Icarus last time for 150 coins, and the basicness of it dissapointed me.

However, I like the GBA metroids a lot. Is metroid 2 as good as metoid fusion/zero mission?

So, should I get it? or skip it?

Metroid 2 is an alright game, I liked it. My personal favorite is Metroid Prime on the GameCube, but yeah I'd say it's worth it.

Comparng M2 with Fusion and Zero is like comparing Metroid 1 with 3. Metroid 2 was the Zelda 2 of the series. Not a bad game by all means, but many people didn't like it as the original and cried foul at it. The game is more linear than the rest of the series, even more linear than Fusion. But it gives you the chance to see Metroids in their habitat and how they evolve. Also the spiderball is AWESOME!

Are they bosses too hard? I don't want to be stuck on one stage for a long time(like Kid Icarus)

I don't mind the linearity (IMO fusion>>>zero mission), but is the gameplay quality consistent?

I could skip this and wait for the fan remake of M2 to be completed, but that's couple of years away atleast.

THIS REMAKE!!! http://metroid2remake.blogspot.in/

It's really awesome, think 2D metroid on 3ds quality.

This is where the demo is: http://metroid2remake.blogspot.in/p/am2r-demo-v11.html

This is an original game that he made to showcase the game engine: http://metroid2remake.blogspot.in/p/metroid-confrontation.html

I am gonna wait a while before I get M2. Sleep on it I guess. :samus:

I'd say go for it. If you like Metroid, 2 is just as good. I got it. I enjoy playing both when I've got some spare time. That or just save up your coins. Something better could come along.
