With the Prime Series done for, is it possible that the Metroid series are done for? I am like around 6 years Metroid fan, but I doubt I will see any Metroid game in the near future.

what makes you say this?

Well, Metroid Dread was abandoned. And, they just won't accept the Idea of remaking the SNES games for the DS. Think of Super Metroid.

so there refusing to make 2-D metroid games that made the series great? well your right metroid is going to die.

So, want to make a pact to send emails, and the likes of communication to Nintendo for SNES Remakes?

Too bad, it was a pretty good game series.

The Metroid franchise is just slow coming, Nintendo and others don't make games for it very often, compared to most active franchises like Mario and Zelda. The continuation of the series depends on what ideas and concepts game developers come up with next.

Metroid is a game that is unlimited and should be easy to come up with game ideas.

There will be another Metroid. Remember what you see in the 100% ending. The guy in the ship will be the main antagonist in the next game hopefully.
