Is MSN trying to reinvent itself as a humour site (and failing)?

Seriously, every time I check Internet Explorer for whatever reason (mainly to open files, because Chrome downloads them by default), it seems that MSN page is showing some pointless video or fad article as if Microsoft is trying to become the next Cracked/Something Awful/etc.

Then again, why do they even bother with that site? Bing replaced the search engine (and still lost to Google), Hotmail is pretty much seperate anyway and I don't think I've seen anyone actually use MSN since the 90s.

Microsoft used the MSN brand name to promote numerous popular web-based services in the late 1990s, most notably Hotmail and Messenger, before reorganizing many of them in 2005 under another brand name, Windows Live. MSN's Internet portal, MSN.com, is currently the 11th most visited domain name on the Internet.

In short, the reason people don't use MSN is because there's no such thing (unless you don't mean MSN Messenger), it's called Windows Live Messenger as of 2005.

I barely know what MSN is.As far as i know, its just a windows butterfly thingy
