Coverage has been a bit more positive in recent days, after the SXSW incident, and even stuff like the BBC seems to have started writing a bit more neutrally about the movement.
So yeah, is this the point where perceptions change and we're finally not seen as the 'bad guys'?
To be honest I am still confused by the whole GamerGate incident, mostly because I have steered away as soon as I learned it was a pot of feminazism and other extremes. What's the GamerGate about nowadays?
Gaming sites were doing backroom deals for 'access', including cheating on their partners with indie developers.
Gamers got annoyed at the corruption.
Gaming sites attacked them because they looked bad and claimed gamers were 'dead'.
Some people started trying to make it about feminism and sexism and stuff.
Giant war that ripped apart half the internet.
