Yes, I think the Netbook/mini-laptop is making a comeback because companies like Google, Microsoft, Linux, and Apple are making operating systems like Chrome OS, Windows 8 RT, Jolicloud, and OS X and software which can run well even on slower netbooks instead of just installing the heavier desktop version of the operating system like Windows 7 on to it which made older Netbooks run slower.
Plus, Netbooks are cheaper, more portable, have better battery life, and don't get as hot as laptops.
I recently read the 249.99 Google Chromebook Netbook sold out at the Google Play store according to http://bgr.com/2012/...gle-play-store/ , so Google could be making Netbooks comeback because of cheaper prices like 249.99 which cost less then most 10 inch Tablets, and Video players like the iPod Touch.
I also read the Macbook Air, and Windows Surface 8 RT with Keyboard cover have a lot of users using them.
