Is watching bad anime really necessary to appreciate the good?

I don't think it's necessary.
To be honest, I don't think I can watch such anime. What about you guys? Do you feel the same? Do you think it's necessary to appreciate the good ones?

It kind of does, gives you a good look at something bad done so you can better enjoy something done right.

I guess, it kind of does. Like any TV show, watching the really bad ones makes you appreciate the good ones and the TV shows that are your favourites.
