Japan Gets Red Controller

We're not particularly sure why, but Microsoft Japan made its first order of business in 2009 to announce a limited edition red colored controller for the 360.

The "Wireless Controller (Limited Edition Red) Play & Charge Pack" (that's the full name you'll have to give to shops if you want to import this thing) bundles a wireless 360 controller with a Play & Charge Kit. The big attraction is that everything has a deep red color.

The bundle is due on March 5, with pricing set at 6,279 yen. This would be about 500 yen less than buying the controller and the Play & Charge Kit separately, except that the red-colored units will not be available outside of the bundle.

Well, actually, the red controller is already in America, so, true they probably will get the good crap, but they didn't get this first

I like the Black controller more. I don't like the shade of red.
