After a rocky year, it's starting to look like the PlayStation 3 is finding its footing. According to figures from Japanese publisher Enterbrain, the PS3 outsold even the juggernaut Wii in Japan for the month of November.

Sony sold 183,217 consoles during the four weeks ended November 25, compared to 159,193 Wiis.

Of course, there's always someone willing to kick a good company in the dream: KBC Securities analyst Hiroshi Kamide said: "It's nice to see the system selling much better than six months ago. But is it a sustainable trend? Is it going to really escalate from here? I'm not so sure."

PS3 needed a break against the Wii. PS3 realizes that they're losing the console wars against the 2 consoles (Xbox 360 & Wii). They made a obvious move by lowering their prices, and it's working a little at a time. Still, that doesn't mean they're gonna win the console wars. Their sales have been terrible since their release in 2006 and it's possible for them to get consumers to buy the console and their game. They can learn from Microsoft and Nintendo if they put their mind to it. Also don't forget the release of the anticipated PS3 games: Resident Evil 5, GTA4, the new Grand Turismo, the most anticipated game on the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4: GotP, coming their way in 2008. That could put them right back in the race.
