A Japanese game dev is doing his best to promote furry content in the gaming world, going as far as to say he wants to “brainwash” people into embracing anthropomorphic animal characters.

The dev behind Fuga: Melodies of Steel, a tactical role-playing series where players control a gigantic tank as it makes its way through a war-ravaged world, has spoken up about the recent trend of furry content and how he aims to popularize the use of furry characters in video games.

For those who don’t know, the Fuga series uses human-like animal characters and a turn-based battle system. The first game received Very Positive reviews on Steam back in 2021, with players praising its moving story and loveable cast.

To celebrate the release of the third and final title, CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama spoke about his studio’s history of creating furry-themed games and his ambition to popularize the furry trend.

Dev wants to expand “furry-loving” fandom

“We’ve been working on spreading the culture of furry enthusiasts from the beginning. Brainwashing people, even,” said Matsuyama in an interview with Automaton.

“I know that furry content is generally considered niche or unconventional, but we truly believe that one day, it’ll go mainstream – that belief lies behind all our work so far. And I think the people reading this right now are the ones who’ll be there to witness that moment.”

The developer notes that while Fuga 3 is the ending of the series, he hopes to continue making more furry-themed games that help more people embrace it. “I hope we can continue to grow this furry-loving culture together. And to us, you’re already part of the family.”

For the writer's cognitive bias of hating them, there are positives. For example, being in an open environment of people making friends over a hobby. It can create world peace, or just unmask a bunch of degenerates that bring their worst out into the public because they don't want accountability at their convention.

I think no matter how two-sided the idea is, it's not going to make anything better or worse. It's polarizing, but it's only polarizing if people are dumb enough to be biased.

Let's be honest, Japanese games and anime weren't that far off with "furry brainwashing" content. How many cat girls, wolf girls, fox girls, and raccoon girls are there? Hell, there's an entire game based off of horse girls.

Furries have existed for a long time lol. I'm a Sonic fan but I'm not a furry myself, but there's a good number of people in the community who are. These types of games have been around for a long time.
