Jonny Quest Loses Its Name?

The live-action adaptation of the cartoon classic Jonny Quest may not bear its lead character's name in the title when it finally comes to the big screen.

According to Los Angeles Times entertainment blogger Geoff Boucher, "folks at Warner Bros. are thinking of jettisoning the name Johnny Quest altogether. Why? I hear the thinking is that the vintage animation roots of Quest will somehow pair it in the public mind with Speed Racer, which was a major Warners pile-up as blockbuster films go, considering the investment, expectations and critical reception."

The studio already wants Jonny to be older than his traditionally adolescent incarnation, with Zac Efron lined up to play the role and Dwayne Johnson in the running to play Jonny's mentor Race Bannon.

I'd rather them keep the name and focus more on managing their budget. Movies today are going way over their estimated budgets.

However, they had better not go astray like Dragon Ball Evolution did....

they should keep the name but I can't seem them staying under budget.
