Hop, punch, throw, collect, find the switch to open the door, follow a bunch of common tropes, and have a lot of fun exploring a 3D environment similar to Spyro or Crash or Mario or Sonic, with a somewhat retro IP you'd expect to be at every retailer but it's not.

Kao the Kangaroo looks like a fun action game with a lot of colorful levels. I like the cartoon 3D looking levels.

Surprisingly I played Yooka and not Kao. Maybe because I am cheap. Feels like a new type of universe.
