According to reports on Eurogamer, E3 will see the announcement of "at least 10" non-sequel Kinect titles. Eurogamer's sources say these titles will "serve the hardcore" and "won't be obvious." Eurogamer also saysKinect titles Kinect Sports 2 and Dance Central 2 will be announced at the show.

There's a lot of speculation as to who is developing what Kinect game over at Eurogamer's site, so feel free to dig in, but as for the overall thrust of the report -- that Kinect is entering its "hardcore" phase-- what do you think?

As of yet, there really haven't been any commercial releases that have really stoked the interest of core gamers, but there have been a ton of intriguing hacks that have used Kinect for everything from playing Minecraft to 3D video capture.

I think Microsoft is focusing a lot of its resources on developing the Kinect to support a wider variety of games including this one called Ryse, which is a hack-and-slash game that will be featured on Kinect, whose teaser was released during the E3 if I'm not wrong.

I find that Kinect has a lot of potential since the motion sensor thing is pretty hyped up. The only reason I could think of for why Kinect isn't so well-received at the moment (only 4% discussions during E3 were regarding Kinect apparently) is because of the lack of variety of games that is fully functional on Kinect.

Even the Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows game featured Kinect only in a couple of boss fights - a majority of the game remained in the original XBox live.

Good to see Microsoft putting so much time and effort into strengthening the Kinect. It has a lot of potential.

About time; Kinect was a waste of money because of it's lack of games.

You're absolutely right.
The only games I could remember playing at my friend's house on Kinect was Kinect Sports, as well as this Dancing game which took into account your hand gestures as well.

That's pretty much it.

Well this is what I've been waiting for. I want to play Ninja Gaiden on the Kinect. There's plenty of serious gamers who would jump at the chance to get off the couch, myself included. If I can play a real game and get a workout, that would be awesome.

I seen those guys on the stage playing those so called hard core games and the looked like idiots. There is no way Microsoft is going to push the Kienct on me. The day the connect is required for a game I want to play is the day I sell my 360. I think its a cheap gimmick, even Nintendo is moving away from the motion controllers!

cheap gimmick? Its one step closer to getting a holodeck!

I think its awesome and I can't wait to run around in place in my living room.

I don't think Kinect is for hardcore gamers, it's more for kids and people who want some exercise, I'm kinda the perfect person for Kinect. But if they develop some hardcore games, I'm sure I'll try them. :) And I still haven't tried Kinect on a computer. Gonna do it tomorrow.
