Kingdom Hearts III Tease Details

Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura has revealed a few small details about Kingdom Hearts III in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (via Andriasang).

Nomura said that KHIII will be the last game for the series' main antagonist, Xehanort. But that won't mark the end of the franchise. Apparently a framework is already in place for future sequels, with Sora retained as the main character.

Nomura promised that fans waiting for KHIII will find some answers in Kingdom Hearts 3D on 3DS, suggesting that this could be the final spin-off before the long-awaited sequel (finally!). But with development on KH3D reportedly only 40%-50% done, don't look for it in your stocking this Christmas.

Nomura also stated that Square Enix was looking into the tech used to render past titles in HD. (Could this mean Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts collections are in the works?)

About damn time! I really want to know what that Birth by Sleep Volume 2 stuff was about at the end of Birth by Sleep Final Mix's secret video.

don't we all, but HD rereleases seem to be looking good for KH. And I will certainly get them.

I'd rather have that than a Final Fantasy HD remakes. I want to see a Final Mix Collection at that, with I FM, II FM, and RE: COM.

I completely agree, it would be a big seller.

I agree, these side off stories have been good. but 3 needs to come out. And it sounds like they got it plan up to kingdom hearts X

I hope they make room for someone besides sora, he's good but they need some bad ass dude wielding ten key blades. kind of like roxas.
